BABEL
– A Fine Dining Concept
Guests enter Babel through a grand 18th-century door, a portal that signals both history and transformation. Beyond it unfolds a contemporary fine-dining destination in Dallas, envisioned as a modern-day interpretation of Babylon. The interiors are sleek yet monumental, defined by hand-applied limewash walls, natural stone accents, and sculptural arches and ceilings that guide the flow of the space. Traditional motifs and colors are layered subtly, nodding to Babylonian heritage while keeping the overall design forward-looking.
A monochromatic cove room with brass accents introduces a moody, intimate retreat within the restaurant. Its tonal palette creates depth and cohesion, while metallic touches add warmth and quiet glamour—an elegant counterpoint to the lighter, more open main dining spaces.
The private dining room serves as a jewel-box homage to the Ishtar Gate. Lapis-colored walls surround the space in deep, atmospheric tones, while plush carpet underfoot adds richness and acoustic warmth. Brass details and walnut accents provide structure and glow, layering tradition into a refined, contemporary setting. The result is a room that feels transportive—rooted in history yet executed with modern restraint.
More than a restaurant, Babel is conceived as a cultural meeting point: a modern architectural expression enriched with historical echoes, where arches, ceilings, and atmosphere carry Babylon’s story into the present day.
