Meet the Team
All great design starts with collaboration. Whether it be between a client, an associate or an artisan – collaboration is the forefront of navigation for projects at Summer Design Haus
Principal
Summer Jansen
Summer grew up immersed in entrepreneurial influence, always envisioning a design studio of her own. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Interior Architectural Design from Florida State University, she launched her career in Dallas, Texas, where her passion for thoughtful, elevated environments truly took form.
Her experience across several respected firms—including Corgan, Wilson Associates, Wendy Konradi Interior Design, and Chad Dorsey Design—allowed her to contribute to an array of notable projects. These include work on Ritz-Carlton residences, a high-profile reality TV star’s home, the iconic Guitar Hotel in South Florida, and a luxury penthouse in Hong Kong. Each project sharpened her creative vision and technical expertise, shaping a design philosophy rooted in sophistication, functionality, and a deep understanding of how spatial design impacts well-being.
Whether sketching custom furniture, exploring emerging design movements, or painting expressive canvases, Summer’s creative pursuits continuously inform her work, enriching her holistic approach to design. With a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to innovation, she aims to create spaces that feel warm, intentional, and deeply personal.
Her mission is to build a studio that champions sustainable practices while honoring each client’s unique vision—ultimately transforming not just interiors, but the way people live within them.

“Not everyone possesses the same sensitivity to the subtle details of design. As visual learners, we at SDH naturally immerse ourselves in each facet of a project, striving to create a harmonious and holistic aesthetic. Upon developing client relationship, we find ourselves attuned to the nuances of style, allowing us to tailor your project in a way that feels inherently personal. In our journeys through homes, restaurants, hotels, and public spaces, we observe materials, architecture, and furnishings as essential components of the overall atmosphere. Ultimately, my work goes beyond the conventional 9-to-5; it embodies my identity and nourishes my passion.”
